Description

Garlic Butter Steak Bites are quick, juicy, and packed with flavor. Tender sirloin steak pieces are seared to golden perfection in olive oil, then tossed in a rich garlic butter sauce with a hint of red pepper flakes and fresh parsley. Ready in just 15 minutes, this dish is perfect for a fast dinner, entertaining guests, or snacking straight from the skillet.

Ingredients

Scale

Steak Bites

  • pound sirloin steak (cut into bite size pieces, or strip loin, tenderloin, strip steak or rib eye)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon pepper (or to taste)

Garlic Butter Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Heat the Skillet: Add the olive oil to a large skillet and heat it over high heat until it is hot enough to sear the steak.
  2. Sear the Steak: Add the steak pieces to the hot skillet and season them generously with salt and pepper. Cook for at least 2 minutes without stirring to develop a good sear.
  3. Continue Cooking: Stir the steak pieces and cook for another 2 minutes until they turn golden brown. If your skillet is small, cook the steak in batches to avoid overcrowding.
  4. Prepare Garlic Butter: Transfer the steak bites to a plate. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add the unsalted butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes.
  5. Cook Garlic: Stir the garlic and red pepper flakes for about 30 seconds until the garlic becomes aromatic and just starts to brown, being careful not to burn it.
  6. Toss and Serve: Pour the garlic butter sauce over the steak bites, toss well to coat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Make sure the skillet and olive oil are hot before adding the steak to get a perfect sear.
  • Cooking in batches prevents overcrowding and ensures the steak bites brown properly instead of steaming.
  • You can substitute sirloin with other tender cuts such as rib eye or tenderloin.
  • For less spice, omit or reduce the red pepper flakes.
  • Serve with a side of vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
