Description

Enjoy perfectly crispy and tender Air Fryer Baked Potatoes topped with melted cheddar cheese, crispy turkey bacon, fresh green onions, and a dollop of sour cream. This fully loaded baked potato recipe is quick, easy, and a delicious side or main dish.

Ingredients

Scale

Potatoes

  • 4 russet potatoes (about 4 inches in length and 3 inches in diameter)
  • Cooking spray
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Butter to taste

Toppings

  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 green onions (sliced)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Potatoes: Add the russet potatoes to the air fryer basket. Spray them evenly with cooking spray, then season generously with salt. This helps the skin crisp up nicely during cooking.
  2. Air Fry the Potatoes: Cook the potatoes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes. Carefully flip each potato over using an oven mitt, then air fry for an additional 15 minutes until the potatoes are tender inside and the skins are crisp.
  3. Cook the Bacon: While the potatoes are air frying, heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the turkey bacon for 5 to 10 minutes until fully cooked and crispy. Once cooled, chop the bacon into small pieces.
  4. Prepare Toppings: Grate the cheddar cheese and slice the green onions. Set these aside for assembly.
  5. Assemble and Serve: Remove the cooked potatoes from the air fryer and slice down the center lengthwise. Add butter, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Top each potato with grated cheddar, chopped turkey bacon, and sliced green onions. Serve with a dollop of sour cream and enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • This recipe is very customizable; feel free to add additional toppings like chives, jalapeños, or different cheeses.
  • If you prefer a vegetarian option, omit bacon and add sautéed mushrooms or extra cheese instead.
  • For crisper skins, ensure potatoes are dry before spraying with cooking spray.
  • The air fryer temperature and time can vary; adjust slightly if your potatoes are smaller or larger than 4 inches.
  • Use an oven mitt to safely flip the hot potatoes during cooking to avoid burns.
